Souto de Moura Itinerary: eight visits to 15 works till September. Stay tuned!

The goal is to bring the general public closer to the work of one of the most prize-winning and recognized Portuguese architects of this era, organised by the Casa da Arquitectura and running from March to September.

The journey includes visits to 15 works, from south to north of the country, led by specialists, current or former collaborators of architect Souto de Moura.

The itinerary is targeted at all types of audiences and it will enable a privileged access to some of the most emblematic icons of national architecture, namely the Tua Dam, the Braga Football Stadium, the Casa das Histórias and the Convent of the Bernardas, among other representative works by the architect from Porto.

The first visit takes place on 28th March, at 11am, and it includes the project Metro do Porto. Architect André Campos, who has worked with Eduardo Souto de Moura between 2002 and 2012, will guide participants through the journey to the Porto Metro Stations of Campo 24 de Agosto, Bolhão and Trindade.

 The exhibition "Souto de Moura - Memória, Projectos, Obras" ["Souto de Moura - Memory, Projects and Works", free translation], is part of the Parallel Programme to this Itinerary; the display, a monographic exhibition spanning four decades of Souto de Moura's work, is on show at Casa da Arquitectura till 6th September. The exhibit is curated by Francesco Dal Co and Nuno Graça Moura.

The Itinerary Souto de Moura also includes journeys to Lisbon, Alijó/Sabrosa, Matosinhos, Aveiro, Braga/Amares, Porto and Algarve.

Minimum number of participants: 25 up to a maximum of 40.
