Municipal programme applications to target housing problems “Porto Solidário” open on 19th January

The ninth edition of the Municipal Programme “Porto Solidário” opens on 19th January. This programme was established in 2014 and it is essential to guarantee the right of housing to the most vulnerable households. This Social Emergency Fund by the Municipality of Porto has already supported 2.336 families. Applications should be submitted at the Domus Social site, which includes filling a form and attaching the required documentation.

Xmas Windows Contest: and the winner is…

The Christmas contest for best Xmas window 2020 offered a tough time when choosing the winner application, as all the 138 shop Windows in contest offered high standard quality and creativity; however, the “Florista Verdelinho”, located at the Rua de Cedofeita, was granted first place in the competition, followed by the “Armazém dos Linhos” and “Sogevinus Wine Shop Flores”, which got second and third podium places, respectively.

New walls in Porto to house urban art

The programme of Porto Urban Art launched another Call for artistic interventions in the city’s public space. This new phase of this project is curated by Hazul, the artist from Porto and the goal is to display street art by five local artists, the rule being that there has to be colour uniformity in the street art palette, and the chosen colour is green and/or several shades also included.
