Discussing science over a drink might as well be the next amazing get together! This is the invitation by the Pint of Science festival, where you can debate scientific topics with experts while savouring a pint. The event runs between 17 and 19 May in Porto, Aveiro, Braga, Guimarães, Lisboa, Coimbra and Viseu, with the particular aspect that only the Invicta offers in-person sessions. Previous registration is mandatory.

Work you stamina with days with Energy and Sundays in Shape Municipal Programmes

The opportunity to gather and practice outdoor group exercise routines is on again, under the municipal programme Days with Energy (Dias com Energia) and Sundays in Shape (Domingos em Forma), as the final phase of the easing of lockdown enters into effect. This weekend, due to the adverse weather forecast, all activities will be held indoors, in municipal pavilions to guarantee the participant's comfort. The DDD unprecedented 5th edition was (still) a success

Different year, different edition, this could be the definition of the 5th edition of DDD-Days of the Dance festival, where theatre seat availability was reduced to 50% and other preventive measures had to be followed to comply with the health measures in place. The organisation deems the event a success, given it was organised following an in-person and online format. The online programming gathered circa 9700 views, and featured performances, masterclasses, talks, documentaries, and parties.

Porto will have Night Watch Guards in the city’s streets

The Municipal Executive has unanimously approved the implementation of a night watch guard services, which would extend to the 11 areas in the Historic Centre, as well as in Ramalde, in Lordelo do Ouro and Massarelos. The extension of such services are under consideration.

“Future Shapers” is the theme of the fifth edition of the Start & Scale Week, and the outlining objective is the promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology. All initiatives, organised by the ScaleUp Porto strategy are held in the digital format, between 24 and 28 May.

Porto Super Special Stage Rally de Portugal updates

This event will not be open to fans, due to coronavirus concerns; nonetheless, aficionados will have the opportunity to watch a Super Special via RTP television transmission. This event scores for the ranking of the WRC programme and the fascinating leg of Porto is scheduled for 22nd May, this time with a Super Special stage at the Forte de São João Baptista, in Foz do Douro. The assembly of the event’s infrastructure is ongoing and on 18 may drivers test the Super Special Porto Leg.
