Clarinettist Horácio Ferreira takes to the stage at Rivoli, on 12th October

Horácio Ferreira, ECHO's rising star and one of the most acclaimed clarinettists of its generation, will take the stage at Rivoli- Pequeno Auditório, on 12th October, at 5pm.

The young musician has stepped onto stages such as the Concertgebouw, the Barbican, the Musikverein, the Philharmonie de Paris or even the new Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

Ferreira has won the "Jovem Músico do ano 2014" award ["Young Musicisn 2014", free translation] and was honoured at the "Concours Debussy" in Paris, at the "Prague Spring Competition" in Prague and in the Estoril Interpretation Contest.

Adding to this list of achievements are the International Competition "J. Pakalnis" in Vilnius, "La Salette" and "New talents Ageas". He was also awarded the Merit Medal by the Municipality of Santa Comba Dão and the "Anim'Art" Revelation Prize.

Horácio Ferreira has also performed all around Portugal and abroad, namely Spain, France, Italy, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Canada, China and Brazil.
