Film director Bong Joon-ho comes out with his newest universal acclaimed film: "Parasite", which premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on 21 May 2019, winning the Palme d'Or, and thus becoming the first Korean film to receive the award and the first film to win with a unanimous vote since 2013's Blue Is the Warmest Colour.

The plot revolves around Kim Ki-taek and his family, all unemployed in a shabby semi-basement apartment. The family struggles to survive. Ki-woo's friend Min-hyuk visits the family and suggests Ki-woo should take over his job as an English tutor for the wealthy Park family.

Ki-woo is hired by Mrs. Park to tutor her daughter Da-hye. From this point on a series of unusual events take place.
