Portugal Fashion, one of the most important fashion events in the industry, starts today and runs till 20 October.
Fashion designers, brands and "houses" display their collections for the coming season to buyers and the media. The highlights are the comeback of Maria Gambina, a designer who stepped away the runaways and devoted to teaching. Five years later, she is back as well as the duo Marques'Almeida, who have participated at the Paris Week fashion. Also, Sophia Kah, who has just arrived from London Fashion Week and Rita Sá ('bloomer') will present their work.

This Portugal Fashion edition is also the moment to celebrate 30 years in the fashion industry by Portuguese designer Júlio Torcato, featuring his newest collection themed "30".

This edition continues the tradition of selling charity products. The Ronald MacDonald Foundation, partner to this initiative, helps over 2.500 families in Portugal. Designer Nuno Baltazar clothed "Maria and Pedro", with 100 Portugal made fabric. Each toy costs 35 euros, and the happy owner of such a charity toy will be entitled to seat in the front row in a fashion show of their choosing.

There will be more than 35 fashion shows to set the trends for upcoming seasons.

These renowned designers and newcomers to the industry are solid evidence of the vitality of this event organized by the National Association for Young Entrepreneurs- ANJE.
