Nicknamed "Google para médicos" [Doctor's Google], the Tonic App is the most used tools by medical staff in Portugal.
This App was developed by a spin-off of the University of Porto and it brings together information in a single platform that helps doctors diagnose and treat patients.

This year, the Tonic App includes a new application, which will allow the startup to enter the business of apps in medical conferences. This is the result of the joint collaboration with Eventtia, a specialized company in solutions for events that deals with the technical features.

"We don't develop mobile event software, it is not our core at Tonic App, so we chose to partner with a specialised company in the sector, whereas we focus on supporting doctors and the scientific feature", said Daniela Seixas, CEO at Tonic App.

"Also, this partnership is important when it comes to the international expansion strategy of the company", Daniela Seixas enthused.

Tonic App was founded within the University of Porto. It won first place in May, at the Lisbon Investment Summit 2018; and in November of that same year, it conquered second place for best mobile app in the medical field at MEDICA 2018, the largest healthcare fair in the world, held annually in Dusseldorf.

The startup was established a little over two years ago, but it is already used by more than 21% of Portuguese doctors.
