Leningrad, 1945. World War II has ended, and the siege to the city is over, at last. Behind, there is a trail of destruction and devastation, both material and psychologic.
The fight now is different: two young women try to attain a sense of normalcy and to rebuild their lives, searching for the meaning of hope.
The film was awarded the FIPRESCI and the Best Director Prize Un Certain Regard, at the Cannes Film Festival, in 2019.
