Porto is home to amazing camellias, even though this flower is originally from Southeast Asia, namely from countries stretching from China to Japan.

Porto invites to visit the 25th edition of the Camellias celebration in Porto, hosted at Porto Customs. The exhibition opening is set for 7th March, at 2.30pm and it will, once more, award the Best Camellia and the Best Portuguese Camellia and the Best Table Decoration. Winners will be announced at 3.30pm, following the opening of the exhibition. All activities are access free.

The camellia exhibit takes place at the Invicta since 1984 and 25 editions later, it still inspires camellia lovers, collectors or producers.

On 7 and 8 March the Camelia Exhibition will, for the first time, be hosted at Porto Customs. The camellia is one of the first flowers to appear in the late winter.

This quintessential flower was cultivated in the gardens of China and Japan for centuries before they were seen in Europe.

Other venues in town, namely the Igreja da Misericórdia, the Parque de São Roque, metro stations and several streets downtown will host a range of camellia related activities, namely dance, theatre, music performances, exhibitions and workshops.
