Casa da Música launches a streaming channel to share concerts from its collection and to release a series of other initiatives, as well, starting today as it marks its 15th anniversary of being open to the public.

Whilst being on social media, namely on Instagram and Facebook, Casa da Música will launch a blog, which will enable sharing concerts in optimum conditions.

"Although we are active on traditional social media, we thought it would be important to launch a nobler platform, quieter to share our acquis, which is very rich in concerts", stated to Lusa the artistic director of Casa da Música, António Jorge Pacheco.

The blog.casadamusica.com broadcasts videos, concerts, messages from in-house a quiz and even the broadcast of the Mass in B Minor by Bach, by the Baroque Orchestra with the Choir and the Children's Choir of Casa da Música, at 10pm.

Another initiative is the dissemination of photographs of the 15 years of the institution, the so called "musical postcards", recorded by the musicians with their own devices by using #15anoscasadamúsica.

Casa da Música artistic director recalls that the institution joined the European Concert Hall Organization initiative (ECHO) and it is disseminating one concert a day on Facebook, always at 7pm.

Casa da Música also promotes "virtual concerts" where each musician performs a piece of a concert from their quarantine places, which are then assembled by technicians.

In addition, Casa da Música is organizing play lists with maestros and composers on demand that will then be shared on social media.

This programming will remain active as long as the contingency measures are in place.
