Champion athlete Rosa Mota fosters sports and physical activity in Porto

"Go out! Don't be a couch potato!" this was, basically, the fundamental message by pro athlete Rosa Mota, who, together with Mayor Rui Moreira officially inaugurated the Oriental Park, the new green area of Porto Metropolitan area.

The benefits of heathy life habits, with sports activities and in touch with nature are lifelong.

The area covers 16 hectares - twice as much since Mayor Rui Moreira's second term began - and the newly extended Oriental Park invites people of all ages to overall wellness and a positive approach to life, profiting from an open green space in the midst of the so-called "urban jungle".

The Oriental Park has 2500 trees, a pedestrian walk, alongside the de-polluted River Tinto and amazing sights.
