Porto.

Throughout the year, the first Saturday of each month, Porto Municipal Libraries play host to a programme whose aim is to provide children the pleasure and the benefits of listening to fairy tales narrated in English. This initiative is organised by the British Council.

"To provide the children with the knowledge basis and the grounds of the English language, in a free and fun way is the goal of such initiative", as stated by the organisation.

Prior registration is mandatory, though, and the first session is scheduled for 4 January, starting at 3.30pm at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library (BMAG). Participants are invited to the reading of the tale "Gingerbread Man".

The target audiences are family with children from the age of 3 years and the programme will run all year long, on the first Saturday of each month at the BMAG, located at the Gardens of the Palácio de Cristal, and also at the Porto Municipal Library (BPMP), next to the Garden of São Lázaro.
