"Música para Circunavegar o Mundo", ["Music to go around the world", free translation] is the theme of the Concert for classical guitar by the musician Francesco Luciani. The artist is to perform at House-Museum Abel Salazar, on 29 June, at 6pm.

Inspired by the Portuguese Discoveries, this show aims to raise awareness on the history of Portuguese music and the history of the classical guitar, in particular. The performance includes one of the first transcription of a Portuguese guitar repertoire for classical guitar of the K 25 Sonata by Domenico Scarlatti, an Italian composer, who spent much of his life in the service of the Portuguese and Spanish royal families.

This Sonata was discovered in Portugal within the book collection of Count de Redondo and it was considered unprecedented in 1985.

Born in Italy, Francesco Luciani is a musician, a composer, a professional trainer and a teacher. He gives concerts in Europe, Africa and Latin America.

This event is entrance free.
