Coliseu Porto Ageas presents Strauss's Polkas and Waltzes in concert

New Year, again! Time, indeed seems to go bye at lightning speed, as in the hustle and bustle of everyday lives and chores, time to stop and enjoy seems to be limited! Quite limited!

So, what we propose is that you take a deep breath, close your eyes and picture the sound of silence (that's right!)! Picture an old yet glorious stage and a full ensemble sitting on it, awaiting to literally play "music to your ears"!

Now, open your eyes and enjoy the traditional New Year's concert at Coliseu, to celebrate the new set of 12 months, which we all hope and long, which will make that difference, for the better, for ourselves and for others, at large.

Tomorrow, on 4 January, at 9.30pm, Coliseu Porto Ageas hosts Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, who will deliver the reputed polkas and waltzes by the Strauss family.

Classical music is a performing art best experienced live, so they say, and we agree. That said, don't walk away the opportunity to enjoy this escape, adventure or enrichment. 

The concert is conducted by the Russian maestro Evgeny Bushkov, also featuring a "fantastic orchestra overture by Stanis?aw Moniuszko", of which is worth highlighting the melodic allure and exquisite humour of Gioachino Rossini".
