Designer from Porto, Márcia Novais awarded by the Buchkunst Foundation

Designer from Porto, Márcia Novais conquered podium position at the Best Book Design From All Over the World.

The Buchkunst Foundation, aka Book Art Foundation acknowledged Márcia Novais' work and granted her the Bronze Medal for her graphic work on the book by Ana Jota and Ricardo Valentim, "Moer", which was edited by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The book "Moer" gathers a joint exhibition by Ana Jotta and Ricardo Valentim, featuring letters, pictures and presentations.

Márcia Novais is a communication designer in Porto and works at the University of Porto since 2011 where she develops the graphic identity and the events that the institution plays host to.

Besides, Márcia Novais also collaborates with the Serralves Contemporary Museum and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

There were 17 Portuguese artwork projects running for this award in Germany, including "Moer", selected under the national edition of the Book Design Award 2019.

The prize giving ceremony, where the Stiftung Buchkunst will deliver the awards, will take place at the Leipzig Book Fair, on 13th March, in Germany.
