The 12th edition of the DjangoCon Europe, one of the most relevant events for the web development applications community will be held online, on 18th and 19th September, streamed from Porto.

The Django community are looking at two busy days, featuring lectures organised by DjangoCon Europe 2020. The event was due to take place in Porto, but amid the pandemic, it will take the online format this year and next year, in 2021, it will be held in person at the Invicta.

The DjangoCon Europe was first established in 2009 and has been held in all of Europe, in such cities as Copenhagen, Berlin or Amsterdam.

In 2020, with the support of Porto City hall, the event was to take place at the Super Bock Arena - Pavilhão Rosa Mota. However, the ongoing pandemic led to adjusting the programme and instead of a five day face to face meeting, the conference was adjusted to a two day online event.

Despite the constraints, the DjangoCon Europe 2020 organisation, via Ad Evolutio, expert in Django since 2007, guarantees a full experience to its participants, with access to renowned lecturers, linked to DjangoCon Europe from the four corners of the globe.

This is the more relevant as the sister event in America, the DjangoCon US will for the first time be cancelled, ever since its inauguration, in 2008.

According to the organisation, Portugal is taking am prominent role as a preferred destination for global events in the field of technology and informatics.
