If you happen to cross Bolhão neighbourhood, you'll see the construction site sidings covered with creative urban art. Although utilitarian, these sidings are also a formidable opportunity to have a creative feedback on urban art as a ways of expressing the contexts of urban realities, this case being the comprehensive rehabilitation work that is ongoing at the iconic Bolhão Market building and enveloping area.

This will allow passers-by to have a different view of the site, perhaps a more colourful one, as street art can be a stark reminder of the urban context we live in and it can lead to building an alternative approach to the world, a less pessimistic one.

The Caver, street artist from Lisbon, is starting his project and other street artists will deliver their work to these construction sidings at Bolhão, now that it is undergoing a necessary stage that may cause added but necessary constraints to the site, namely Hazul and GodMess from Porto, and OKER from the city of Maia.

Their role is to "paint" a cultural construction so that people can unify with the urban environment.
