“Feeling Good” on show at the Ó Galeria! online

The Ó Galeria!, which inaugurated in 2009, in the arts district in Porto, namely at the Rua Miguel Bombarda, exhibits “Feeling Good”, by Filipa Beleza. This exhibition is available online and it showcases the artwork of many emerging artists.

The Ó Galeria! closed doors, due to the new restrictive measures to stop the rise of infections by the new coronavirus. However, it has decided to transfer its activities to the online format and this time around, the focus in on the artwork by Filipa Beleza, who studied in Porto and is currently living in Barcelona. The exhibit, themed “Uma ideia a nadar no café” (aka, “An idea swimming in the cup of coffee”, free translation) is on show, online, until the 4th February. One of the most engaging works by Beleza is the illustration “Feeling Good”, due to the complexity of composition that combines synchronized swimming in the heart and the stomach. The artwork on display, by Filipa Beleza, is available for sale.

The gallery has been a space that showcases art by emerging artists from Porto; a new generation of artists and creators in Porto, who have been met with recognition, namely in the illustration field, as is the case of Mariana, a Miserável, or Clara Não. They have become the voices of their generations’ yearnings and criticism, plenty of times with a pinch of sarcasm.
