Refresh your mind and take the journey to finding out (more) about the history of Humankind, which will lead you through the five continents! And guess what? You can do this in the comfort of your home.
This is what the U. Porto News new podcast themed "Terras sem Fim" (aka "Never ending Lands", free translation) offers, inspired by the vast acquis of the Natural History and Science Museum of the University of Porto (MHNC.UP).

This invitation is all the more interesting under the current pandemic scenario that urges all and each one to comply with the civic duty to stay at home as much as possible.

This new podcast will offer insight on mummification procedures in Ancient Egypt, the Melanesia collection, unique in its kind in the Iberian Peninsula, or how to set a trap to catch a shark in Papua Nova Guiné. And music, adamant in all cultures and transversal in all five continents. Take some time to lean how a drum friction works, as opposed to a percussion drum.

Each episode is conducted, on a weekly basis, by Rita Gaspar, curator of the collections regarding Archaeology, Ethnography and biologic Anthropology at the MHNC-UP.

The podcast is jointly organised by the Casa Comum of the UP and the Natural History and Science Museum of the University of Porto.
