International conference on architecture and digital technologies in Porto

FAUP - Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, presents the international conference "Architecture in the Age of the 4th Industrial Revolution", from 11 to 13 September, at FAUP and at Campo Alegre Theatre Auditorium.

This initiative joins two annual conferences by the eCAADe (Europe) and the SIGraDi (Ibero America), in the fields of architecture and digital technologies.

This event allows participants to debate the connection between architecture and digital technologies, to have a btter understanding of the work developed by the scientific community of both eCAADe and SIGraDi 2019, and to assess alterations in architecture within the context of digital technologies.

The programme includes sessions, debates, lectures, workshops and additional plenary sessions on the most varied subjects linked to the umbrella topic, which feature keynote speakers such as Mário Carpo, the internationally renowned architectural historian and theorist, Professor of Architectural History and Theory at University College of London, and architect João Albuquerque, director and associate member of Danish office BIG.

The social programme includes visits and walks to the city of Porto. This event is supported by Porto City Hall and by Porto Municipal Theatre.
