Porto caught on camera during lockdown by Paulo Ferreira was awarded three prizes at the international film festival Finisterra Arrábida Film Art & Tourism 9th edition. In addition, the film was also granted an honourable mention by the jury of the festival.

No doubt that these are times that will go down in history as among the most estranged of times, as they are lived at planet level; Porto also went through this hard experience of shutdown and Paulo Ferreira directed a documentary to "raise awareness on the times we are living and also to send a message of hope: that life can go back to the old normal".

There were over one thousand films, national and international, in the competition; yet the jury surrendered to the "Lockdown Porto", narrated in English, and granted the documentary the 1st place in the category "Places in History", 1st place in the category "Best Portuguese Film" and the 3rd place in the category "Timelapse", which was held in Sesimbra, on 1st October.

The director had also been awarded the "Best Documentary Short" prize during the international cinema festival in Las Vegas, last August, for his documentary on Iceland "This is Our Time".

Paulo Ferreira's work is acknowledged at world level and his intention is to take Portugal's beauty to all over the world.
