Music makes magic at Bombarda art district this Saturday

This Saturday, 29 June, it's the comeback of Inaugurações Simultâneas [Simultaneous Openings] at Miguel Bombarda District. Starting at 4pm, music is the motto for art openings until 8pm.

Street performances and guided tours will announce the new shows and exhibits, including street live music, between 4pm and 8pm, a workshop by lindy hop, organised by Josie Georgia in partnership with the dance academy Bota Swing and Deejay Joe. Everyone is invited to join in and have a good time.

Also, across the street, the pedestrian street by Rua da Boa Nova, DJ Nuno Riviera will enliven the atmosphere. Around 6pm, the drummer performs a live concert with the Oliveira Trio band.

Besides, two free workshops invite to experience the neighbourhood's creative culture, with Isabel Coelho, of the IlustrarART project, who will organize the creation of a collaborative canvas in the areas of graphics and drawings themed "Músicas Portuguesas". Joana Estrela and Nicolau will guide a drawing session under the motto "à mão levantada", themed "Drink&Draw", where participants are invited to bring their material and drinks.

The spot where the Porto. stand is, there will be an exhibit titled "Magic mirrors" (Espelhos Mágicos), by Joana Valente.

Access to these events is free and no previous application is required.

The municipal company, PortoLazer organises two free tours to the art galleries in the context of the Bombarda Stop & Go programme, promoted in partnership with the Higher School of Education.

There are two available schedules (4 pm-5 pm; 5.30 pm-6.30 pm), and each group (15 people each) depart from Rua de Miguel Bombarda (pedestrian area, next to the "Porto." stand).

Registrations are open till 1pm, on 28 June, via email stopandgo@portolazer.pt or at the "Porto." stand on the very day of the tour (this option is only available for the second tour).

The coming 2019 cycles are scheduled for 21 September and 9 November.
