The Rota do Dragão, an initiative jointly organised with historian Joel Cleto, puts all of the focus on the relationship between the club and the city. There are online and in-person events. Visits will start with a cultural path in Porto, on 30 May, which will repeat on 26 June and 18 July, as summer arrives in town. The agenda also includes three visits to the permanent exhibition to the Museum of the Futebol Clube do Porto, set for 9 October, 6 November and 4 December, respectively.

During the outdoor trips with historian Joel Cleto, the audience will have the opportunity to have a better knowledge of the connection between the city and the FC Porto, while visiting such places as Porto City Hall, the Terreiro da Sé, Majestic, Praça da Liberdade, the Rua Escura, the Coliseu, the Clube Fenianos Portuenses, and the Palácio da Justiça, just to mention a few.

“With the Rota do Dragão we decode this historic relationship between the city and the “Dragon’s club”,stated by the historian Joel Cleto. The dragon is a symbol of the city of Porto, long before it was associated to the Futebol Clube do Porto, “whose emblem replicates the coat of arms of the city, as they were promulgated in 1837”, affirms Joel Cleto.

The Rota do Dragão has been awarded by its innovative information format and won the Information Prize by the Portuguese Association of Museology, in 2019. This will now be the 7th edition of this Cultural Paths, jointly organised by Museu do FC Porto and Joel Cleto, as it started in 2014.
