The performance "Ordinary People" has its national premiere on 30th November, at Campo Alegre, starting at 7pm.

This show brings together the reputed Check Performative Arts Centre, the Archa Theatre, directed by Jana Svobodová, and the Living Dance Studio, the first independent Chinese company, run by Wen Hui.

Besides connecting two countries with disparate political systems, Czechoslovakia and China, this performance also combines documental theatre and dance, in a time in the world when many countries see their human rights continually infringed by politicians.

The question one should be posing is: who are these ordinary people these leaders claim to represent?

On stage, Vladimír, once a king of rock and roll in Prague, is now a worker at a tools store, and Wen, ballerina and choreographer by the Theatre Company of the Regime, showcase their live experiences and apparently there are more similarities than not.

The performance "Ordinary People" will also be presented at the main programme of the Festival d'Avignon 2019 and the Festival D'Automne in Paris, this year.
