Porto is in MIPIM with Porto. Stand and receives an international award

The international market for real estate professionals, the MIPIM has commended the city of Porto in the context of the fDi - Intelligence Magazine, a key publication in the financial area, at a ceremony held in Cannes, today. Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Trade, Ricardo Valente, received the award on behalf of the city.

The world's leading property market runs from 12 to 15 March 2019 at the Palais des Festivals, in the French Riviera.

Porto was awarded top fDi performer prizes both in the "Incentives" and "Project Wins" categories, the latter regarding the Vestas Wind investment in the city of Porto.

Winners were announced last December and Porto City Hall was granted highlight at the level of Foreign Direct Investment, which spotlights Porto as an important destination for investors.

The Foreign Direct Investment Awards "bring together and celebrate the achievements of the broad community and ecosystem of players in the business of foreign direct investment", as stated by the organisation.

It should be spotlighted that MIPIM has enhanced how important this investment is regarding strategy to increase the level of Foreign Direct Investment occurring in the city; as such, InvestPorto was created to study key requirements, namely economic potential and business friendliness related to Porto's economic development.
