The EDP Porto Marathon, which will take place on 4 November, was granted the Bronze Label Road Race by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

For those who take their love of running international, Porto is now officially considered one of the best races in the Marathon World Circuit.

Also, technically, the Marathon of Porto is homologated by official authorities regarding minimal access times to the European Championships, World Championships and the Olympics.

Besides being included in the IAAF official calendar, the event will host the National Marathon Championship, a race that is organised by the Portuguese Athletics Federation, which was formerly integrated in the Lisbon Marathon.

The race track includes the traditional 42195m, as last year, and the race already has over 7000 registered participants.

The event has also a 15 km Family Race, as well as a 6 km Fun Race, targeted at all age groups and non-profit.

Runporto, jointly with Porto City Hall, organises the EDP Porto Marathon, which is estimated to gather 15000 runners, in total.

The 15th EDP Maratona do Porto is held on 4 November and the starting pistol is set to 9 am, by Sealife Porto. The finish line is at Queimódromo (Porto City Park).
