Porto Design Bienalle 2021, which celebrates France as the guest country, redesigns design, extending it beyond the material components. These concepts are replicated in the programme “Autrevoix”, which is broadcasted daily at the Rádio Estação devoted to contemplate the other. As such, “Autrevoix” is an experimental programme with different French contributions.

“The encounter between the native with the ‘other’, the guest, the visitor that appropriates the city and its culture” is broadcasted from Monday to Friday, at 11 am (repeated at 6 pm). The programme features music, poetry, the sounds of the city and even cooking recipes.

Every Saturday, the voice of Simon Raulin delivers interviews with designers, artists, thinkers, either Portuguese or French, who have been summoned to develop a creative work based in a set of objects gathered in Porto, in the framework of the global project “Autre” (also available at the Museu Soares dos Reis). On Sundays, Rádio Estação broadcasts the contents’ compact of the week.

“Autrevoix” is on air until 25 July and is the result of the partnership with the Institut Français du Portugal, Alliance Française of Porto, Rádio França Internacional (RFI), the Chandeigne editions and Rádio Alpha de Paris.
