Santo António Hospital in Porto is the best in the country

The Santo António General Hospital (HGSA) was considered the best in the country for the 5th consecutive year, regarding performance level, following the multinational company IASIST latest review, in the context of the performance evaluation of the largest hospitals in Portugal.

The HGSA has an annual budget of circa 250 million euros, and the hospital invests approximately 8 million euros annually in research. Thus, the institution builds on its own strengths and differentiate activities by betting on the internationalisation of its physicians as intern doctors have a six month training abroad.
