Shuttle supports international expansion of five new projects

The support programme for artistic globalization Shuttle is to boost five new projects, which were approved by the Municipal Executive's last meeting, on 20th July. 

The projects were submitted during the third phase of the tender, and the jury, composed of Miguel Leal, Fátima São Simão and Pedro Junqueira Maia, selected five projects, related to visual arts and curatorship and performing arts.

Gil Delindro will develop a three month residency themed "Beyond the Audible - Fictional Forests", in the volcanic region of Auvergne; Dalila Gonçalves, in turn, presents a solo exhibition at the Fundación RAC, in Pontevedra, featuring artwork designed in artistic residencies carried out in Mexico and in Brazil; Soraia Gomes Teixeira and the collective berru will take the projects "Instrumentos Públicos para Terapia" and "SYSTEMS SYNTHESIS" to the 5th edition of Istanbul Biennial, respectively.

As for Performing Arts, Raul Maia presents his work "trouble with your eyes" in the WUK Theatre, in Vienna.

Shuttle's third edition has already supported over 15 projects. The programme is open till November 2020 to support the international expansion of projects created and developed by cultural agents and artists based in Porto and with performance dates till 31st March 2021.

Applications should be submitted via email to plaka@cm-porto.pt and the programme regulations regarding application are available on the programme's page.

Every two months, during the last week of every odd month, the jury will evaluate all projects submitted and will deliberate support allocation.
