The Secret Friend on stage at Rivoli on 5 and 6 July

Rivoli features "O Amigo Secreto" (The Secret Friend), on 5 and 6 July, at 9pm and at 7pm, respectively, in the framework of the Paralelo - Programme of Rapprochement to Performing Arts at the Municipal Theatre of Porto that aims at developing continued projects with diversified audiences.

This time, the specific target audience were the holders of the "Cartão de amigo", which is a fidelity card for Rivoli and Campo Alegre Theatres.

The starting point was the challenge of thinking what friendship is and what it means to be a "friend of the theatre".

"For ten months, we held regular meetings and we talked about the participant's relationship with the Municipal Theatre of Porto and the memories that they keep of this place", states Dina Lopes, in charge of the Paralelo programme.

Actors Maria do Céu Ribeiro and Paulo Mota will guide the participants, of different age groups and professions.

The result of this creative process is a dramaturgic project that helped build the text of the show.

"Most importantly than the outcome is the relationship that binds the group", enthuses Dina Lopes.
