The Serralves Park Treetop Walk opens on 14 September. The opening day, entrance is free for all visitors.
Serralves will hold a stunning way of viewing the biodiversity in the Park, enabling a whole new way of interpreting the surrounding landscape. It's the Treetop Walk.

This project, by architects Carlos Castanheira and Álvaro Siza Vieira, and the support of Ascendi holds the promise to "bring to Serralves new and different dimensions of enjoyment with nature".

The concept behind the design also contributes to the awareness raising on the importance of trees, the concept of nature's conservation as a natural heritage, of fundamental importance to the scientific community, at national and international levels.

"Serralves Foundation celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and this way it also enhances its mission to promote and value the natural and cultural patrimony, with innovative awareness-raising actions and stimulating scientific development. Also, Serralves boosts its relationship with different types of audiences, namely the educational and scientific communities and the public at large", the Foundation states.

The walkway is set up with a 260m extension course and "it will allow a stunning viewing the biodiversity in the Park", reads the Treetop Walk official page.
