"Rushing Green with Horses" is one of the most extraordinary moments of 2019 Porto/ Post/Doc. The film will be screened on 26 and 27 November, at Rivoli, at 9pm and 2.30pm, respectively.

This sort of homemade film: no plot, no narrator, sometimes with no sound, is important to show how far a movie can go to establish the notion of cinema and also its boundaries; instead of labelling the film as of the realm of the experimental cinema, it is important to screen this type of film outside the niche festivals.

Porto/Post/Doc 2019 honours Ute Aurand, born in Frankfurt, in 1957. The screening of "Rushing Green with Horses" at the competitive category, also features two programmes of short and long films, which include nine films shot between 1980 and 2017.

Ute Aurand was born in 1957 in Frankfurt/Main, and grew up in Berlin. She is a teacher and curator, and a devoted 16mm filmmaker since 1980. She studied filmmaking at the Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin during the years 1979-1985. Since 1985 she began to produce her own films. In 1987 she founded "Ute Aurand Filmproduktion".
