This June, the initiative “Sábados a Contar” is back to the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library (BMAG). Reading sessions are aimed at children aged 3 and 6 and take place at the Sala de Leitura Infantojuvenil, aka Youth Literature Reading Room at the BMAG, for the “Hora do Conto” (“Tale Time”, free translation] that precedes the usual workshop on the book of the day.

This event is participation free, but prior registration is needed as there is limited seat availability.

The session kicks off at 11 am and repeats at 3.30 pm with the book “And Tango Makes Three”, by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell. This children's book was published in 2005 and tells the story of two male penguins, Roy and Silo, who create a family together.

The following Saturday, 19 June, there are two sessions, as well, (at 11 am and at 3.30pm), to present the book “Meninos de todas as cores”, by Luísa Ducla Soares.

On 26 June, the last Saturday of the month, there is only one session, at 3.30 pm, to present the book “Não quero usar óculos”, by Carla Maia Almeida.
