FIMP - the International Puppet Festival of Porto is back to the theatres of Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP), between 10 and 18 October, featuring national debuts that will be on show on theatres and in an online format, as well.

The Campo Alegre Theatre welcomes the play "Uma Coisa Longínqua", on 15th October, at 9pm, by Teatro do Ferro and composer Carlos Guedes. This play features a film played by animated sculptures, run and projected in real time. The plot unveils empowered artwork that decides to leave the buildings of powerful multinationals and financial institutions to seek other possibilities of existence in the world of things.

For other absolute premieres take notice: on 16th, 17th and 18th October, the Teatro Campo Alegre plays host to "Lilliput", a show targeted at families and schools, by Ainhoa Vidal, a Spanish artist residing in Portugal; and on 17th and 18th, at Rivoli, the play "Fibra", by Filipe Moreira and Lola Sousa takes to the stage.

The Understage at Rivoli will see the national debut of "Cratère 6899", by Gwendoline Robin, on 18th October, at 6pm. The show is the result of the partnership between the Belgian artist and astronomer Yeël Naze and oceanographer Bruno Delille, which led to the performance-installation on the "origins of the world".

On 17th October, TMP and FIMP promote a free masterclass with Gwendoline Robin, on the relations between matter, gesture, space and time. The workshop is targeted at fine arts students, visual artists and performers. Those interested in participating should register previously, by sending an email to paralelo.tmp@agoraporto.pt.

Tickets for the shows vary between 2. 50 euros (schools) and 12 euros (international performances).
