The rain did not dampen spirits at the opening of NOS Primavera Sound, on 6 June. Festivals goers teamed up for a truly special evening at the City Park in Porto and enjoyed an inspired and eclectic mix, including Solange, MorMor, Stereolab and Photonz.

Day one of the eight edition of NOS Primavera Sound was not found wanting. And the sun even shone showing that NOS Primavera Porto is the festival to be in June for a lot of reasons, most prominently its unique setting.

Imagine looking around and seeing the sea, scenting the trees and the flowers and sharing a truly unique experience with family and friends, or even meeting new friends.

And the festival is getting a bigger reach, with visitors arriving from different parts of the globe or some making it a tradition to repeat the visit, namely England, Russia, USA and Spain, just to mention a few.

Revellers highlighted the atmosphere, the music, the enveloping of the space, the concerts, the new music and "the opportunity to discover new types of music and new bands", as "the NOS Primavera Porto is quite eclectic", according to attendees.

Mayor Rui Moreira toured the space, as tradition, and saw first-hand the "Porto." Pavilion and all the new municipal fixtures present at the festival.

The "Porto.forTalent" corner is full speed already with internship opportunities in multinationals such as Armis Group, Blip, Euronext, Farfetch, IT Sector, Mindera, Prozis, Readiness IT, Vestas and Voltalia.

On the same site as ever, there is the stall offering the blossom hair bands, one of the trademarks of the festival.
