Take time to attend the last performances of the play "Wild Spring" by Arnold Wesker, on stage at the National Theatre São João (TNSJ) in Porto till 28 July.

TNSJ brings to Porto the work of an author that changed the face of English drama. Staged by Jorge Pinto, who is also in charge of scenography, the play features the issues of political and social discontent, which can be regarded as a portrait of current society, and how that unrest undermines relationships.

"Wild Spring" (1992) is the story of Gertrude, a successful but insecure actress regarding her talent.

This play acts like a metaphor for the several personae that we build for ourselves, false images that we fall in love with leading to an everyday acting or staging.

This performance is a joint production by Ensemble - Sociedade de Actores and TNSJ.
