"Design by Porto, Porto by Design" exhibition ends 23 July

"Design by Porto, Porto by Design: 4 years of design from Porto City Hall" ends on Sunday 23 August at Palácio dos Correios building. The exhibition features the transformation of the visual communication of the municipality translated into flyers, mupis, urban billboards and catalogues.

Porto Academy brings art and science to town with notable architects

The 5th edition of Porto Academy kicks off 20 July. This event is promoted by Casa da Arquitectura and the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). Summer School 2017 will run until 27 July throughout the city, including Rivoli Theatre, Faculty of Economy (FEP), Campinas District and the Faculty of Architecture.

A new sculpture by Julião Sarmento is part of the "Rota da Água" [The Water Route], one of the five thematic itineraries in the context of the true open air museum that Porto is becoming and that encompasses the materialisation of concepts such as "Liquid City "and "Expanded Culture" that have been the pillars of the Culture Department in Porto City Hall.
