"Design by Porto, Porto by Design: 4 years of design from Porto City Hall" ends on Sunday 23 August at Palácio dos Correios building. The exhibition features the transformation of the visual communication of the municipality translated into flyers, mupis, urban billboards and catalogues.

The 5th edition of Porto Academy kicks off 20 July. This event is promoted by Casa da Arquitectura and the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). Summer School 2017 will run until 27 July throughout the city, including Rivoli Theatre, Faculty of Economy (FEP), Campinas District and the Faculty of Architecture.

Next weekend, 22 and 23 July, the Soares dos Reis National Museum hosts a unique event: a Game Jam. In the context of the exhibition "The Global City - Lisbon in the Renaissance", presented at Soares dos Reis Museum, participants will develop a video game inspired in the sixteenth century navigation systems.

Great classical works such as the ones created by Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel and Tchaikovsky will be abundant at Coliseu Porto, in a concert that marks the autumn season, scheduled for 29 September at 9.30 pm.

The districts of Francos and Carvalhido now have two walls that reflect the realities of youth culture in urban environments. Porto City Hall understands the cultural significance of street art. It means embracing youth culture in all its forms and bringing together different generations and cultures.

The Portuguese representation of "Visões Úteis", co-produced by Porto City Hall and in the context of the municipal programme "Cultura em Expansão" [Expanding Culture], takes place on July 13, 14 and 15 and it is driven by the will to provide public recognition to the work of agents, entities, collectives and associations in Campanhã.

Out of the 47 designated artists for the first edition of the "Paulo Cunha e Silva Prize", the jury has pinpointed six finalists. The prize will reward an artist below the age of 40 years, who have not set up an exhibition event of international importance more than once.

Porto Municipal Theatre will present a contemporary choreography creation in two of the most relevant international dance festivals the coming year: DañsFabrik, in Brest, and the Biennale de la Danse in Lyon.

The 5th edition of NAU - Iberian Peninsula Cinema and Art takes place at Municipal Library Almeida Garrett, from June 20 to 22. The event showcases both national and international films from countries such as Brazil, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Paraguay.

A new sculpture by Julião Sarmento is part of the "Rota da Água" [The Water Route], one of the five thematic itineraries in the context of the true open air museum that Porto is becoming and that encompasses the materialisation of concepts such as "Liquid City "and "Expanded Culture" that have been the pillars of the Culture Department in Porto City Hall.
