Between Saturday and Tuesday, there is an agenda to celebrating Carnival in Porto. Carnival is a Western Christian and Greek Orthodox festive season that occurs before the liturgical season of Lent.

Musicians Lorde, A$AP Rocky and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will headline the 7th edition of NOS Primavera Sound Festival. The 7th edition of the music festival will take place from 7 to 9 June in the City Park (Parque da Cidade), and artists such as The War on Drugs, Arca, Father John Misty, Mogwai, Jamie XX, Fever Ray, Tyler, The Creator, Vince Staples and Thundercat will be on stage.

Portugal Lovers celebrates its 6th anniversary with two editions of Urban Market, jointly with Hard Club and with the support of Porto city Hall. The market will run from 9 to 11 February and from 23 to 25 February. Entrance is free and the event takes place between 11 am and 7 pm.

Cleantech Camp programme enters its third edition to promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship in the field of clean energy. This call is launched by InnoEnergy, Gas Natural Fenosa, Barcelona Activa and Porto City Hall.

The most innovative idea wins 30 thousand euros. The EU endorses this form of encouragement in the framework of the European competition towards finding "smart city" solutions in the area of mobility, as an integral part of other challenges that lead to three cities within the European Union: Porto (Portugal), Cologne (Germany) and Trikala (Greece).
