Viso field hockey hosts the European competition Club Challenge III Women, from 1 to 4 June. This sports event will gather teams from Lithuania, Croatia, Sweden, Poland and Denmark, in a total of 180 athletes.

Demetrios Fakinos, European Design Awards' founder and organizer, talked to Porto. about the Porto International Design Biennale, of which he was invited to be a member of the advisory board, and about the city of Porto.

Porto International Design Biennale will become a reality in 2019. This long term project was announced by Mayors of Porto, Rui Moreira and Matosinhos, Eduardo Pinheiro, May 27 at Rivoli.

Opera del Mediterraneo, directed by Maestro Fernando Alvarez, features "Rigoletto", an opera in three acts by Italian opera composer Giuseppe Verdi. The Italian libretto was written by Francesco Maria Piave.

European Design Awards 2017 ceremony is right around the corner, with the event scheduled to take place May 27 at Rivoli, starting at 6:30 pm. The city is booming with creativity and genius, through workshops, exhibitions and studio walks summoning the community to a global debate on the role of communication design in society at large.

Pedro Mesquita and Paula Mourão Gonçalves debut "Abyssinia's Treasure" exhibition at Portuguese Photography Centre (CPF), located at the old Municipal Prison, May 26 at 9:30 pm.
