This July is handball season in Porto with the kick off of the 21st edition of the regional competition of beach handball at Estádio de Praia. This event is organised by the Handball Association of Porto, and the "And'Praia" gathers circa 1.200 athletes to the sports facilities, set next to the Edifício Transparente, between 4 and 28 July.

This year Night Race in the City Park of Porto is on 27 July, and the motto is superheroes and comic books. Should you run into Super Woman, Batman, Captain Marvel or Thor at the City Park, on 27 July, around 9.30pm, no worries; it is Night Race in the Park, an annual event that features a side of fantasy, as the goal is to combine sports and fun.

The urban riverfronts in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia are the racing scene of the 5th edition of the Portucale Race set for 7 July. The starting pistol will officially be fired at 10am at the Avenue Gustavo Eiffel (next to Luiz I Bridge).

The sports field that was set up by the Edifício Transparente plays host to the training sessions of the Porto Beach Tennis, which runs this weekend. This competition is integrated in the ITF Beach Tennis Tour and it includes men and women's singles and doubles teams as well as mixed teams.

The municipality offers the programme "Days with Energy" on 22 June to help mitigate revelry excesses. A healthy body boosts a healthier soul and a happier mind.

The stadium is set at Praia Internacional and this weekend around 600 athletes will compete in the Porto Beach Rugby second round. This is a first for the city of Porto as a host to the European Championship of Beach Rugby, on 22 and 23 June.

The Final of the First UEFA Nations League, which was held in the cities of Porto and Guimarães, was broadcasted live for countries worldwide. The economic return is yet to be known, but before the competition IPAM estimated the return at a total of over EUR 150 million. UEFA praised the organisation for a "job well done" as no serious incidents occurred.

Congratulations Portugal! The Portuguese Team celebrated its triumph as Champions of the First UEFA Nations League and were hosted by Mayor Rui Moreira at the City Hall, in Porto.

Today, Portugal plays against Holland for the Final of the UEFA Nations League, at Dragão Stadium, at 7.45pm.

The Portuguese Football Federation and UEFA promote a match between football legends at Largo do Amor de Perdição. The referee's opening whistle will sound at 4pm.
