The “Adventário” is now available on video! Time to rewind holly stories with Ágora

The project “Adventário”, which translates as the Calendar of the Advent, was organised by the municipal company Ágora to bring the magic of Xmas to everyone’s homes during December. It is now available on video. Well-known personalities told Christmas stories each day, from 1 to 24 December, at 9.30pm. Time to check them out! Enjoy!

Launched tender to rehabilitate the Quinta do Mitra next to the Terminal of Campanhã

The public tender for the rehabilitation of the Quinta do Mitra was launched on 21st December. Proposals are taken until 23:59’ of 26th January 2021. The goal of the project is to rehabilitate the outdoor enveloping area, as well as the inside space of the Quinta do Mitra, transforming it into a large public space, easily accessible and as an extension of the urban park that frames the future Terminal Intermodal of Campanhã. The municipal investments amount to circa 1.2 million euros.

“Fórum do Futuro: Vita Nova” is available as of 28th December

This year the Forum of the Future (Fórum do Futuro) was not held, owing to the ongoing pandemic. The announcement was made last July; however, the organisation also announced that there would be a book edition to mark the seventh edition of the Forum of the Future. The publication “Fórum do Futuro: Vita Nova” is available as of 28 December. It is free and it is made available at Rivoli.

Discount vouchers are displayed in shop windows and lead the run to the best Xmas shopping in Porto

It is hard not to notice the label indicating that a shop or store offers direct discount of 2 euros per each 20-euro buy. This campaign was launched by Porto City Hall to help boost local retailers and traditional trade during this festive season, amid the ongoing pandemic. The label resembles Xmas decorations and marks the stores that have adhered to this municipal campaign by the Municipality of Porto, in partnership with the Association of Traders of Porto.

Porto Municipal Gallery shows “Que horas são que horas”! It genuinely is food for the soul

Take time to visit the exhibition themed “Que horas são que horas”, curated by José Maia, Paula Parente Pinto and Paulo Mendes. It opened on 17th December, and it pictures the role that a Municipal Gallery must play in the city. Mayor Rui Moreira already visited the exhibition, which inaugurated precisely two weeks after “Nets of Hyphae”. Both exhibits are on show at Porto Municipal Gallery until 14th February 2021.
