The Bioblitz educational and scientific event stimulates environmental awareness and promotes behavioural changes, while sharing knowledge on the fauna and flora of the Serralves Park. This edition starts today, 31 may and it runs until 4 June, in an online format for schools and in-person for the general audiences on 5 and 6 June.

Every Saturday morning, the programme “Days with Energy” offers Pilates, Yoga and Tai Chi i such spaces as the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, in the Pasteleira Park and the Oriental Park. On Sundays, it is time for Tai-Chi and the de Rose Method in the Parque da Cidade.

Rui Moreira and another 60 mayors of municipalities all over the world gathered for an online meeting, today, to discuss commitments to inclusive growth and pledged to support youth through COVID-19 recovery initiatives in their cities. This event marked the 5th Anniversary Meeting of the OECD Champion Mayors For Inclusive Growth, which was first established in March 2016.

There is a new route as regards wine tourism. Four wine regions in the North formed a partnership to establish a new enoturism route of Porto and the North. The protocol was signed yesterday evening, at the Rivoli, between the Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto, the comissões de viticultura regional dos Vinhos Verdes, Távora-Varosa e Trás-os-Montes, and the Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal (TPNP).

The PSP (Police for Public Security) announced the strengthening of the security measures for the Champions League Final, which will be played tomorrow, 29 May, between Chelsea and Manchester City, at the Dragão Stadium. Starting at 8 pm today, 28 May, three security perimeters will be established around the stadium, which means that there are traffic constraints in the surrounding area.

The University of Porto offers 20 scholarships for students who wish to participate in the world’s leading entrepreneurship summer school. This year’s edition takes to the online format, from 15 July to 3 August. Applications are running until 7 June.

The wheel excavators of Mota Engil entered the building of the former Matadouro Industrial de Campanhã. This building stage comprises the demolition of all the elements that have been compromised by degradation. The Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira visited the site yesterday morning, accompanied by Horácio Sá, Mota Engil Engenharia board chairman, by Carlos Mota Santos, Mota Engil board member, architect Luís Sousa, of the civil construction company in charge of the project.
