Tourist tax will be used to mitigate the impact of tourism in the city of Porto

The Municipal Tourist Tax, which Porto shall apply from March 2018, and that was approved by the City Council this week, shall not be used for investment in tourism. This commitment was reaffirmed by Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto, on 20 December, at a press conference at Porto City Hall.

Clérigos Tower is open for night tours

Up for a night adventure? These days, the Clérigos Tower, one of the most visited monuments in the city of Porto is open for night tours. Visitors will have the chance of appreciating the light-filled city at 75 metres high, from 7 pm to 11 pm, till December 30, except on December 24 and 25.
