Demetrios Fakinos, European Design Awards' founder and organizer, talked to Porto. about the Porto International Design Biennale, of which he was invited to be a member of the advisory board, and about the city of Porto.

Porto International Design Biennale will become a reality in 2019. This long term project was announced by Mayors of Porto, Rui Moreira and Matosinhos, Eduardo Pinheiro, May 27 at Rivoli.

Opera del Mediterraneo, directed by Maestro Fernando Alvarez, features "Rigoletto", an opera in three acts by Italian opera composer Giuseppe Verdi. The Italian libretto was written by Francesco Maria Piave.

European Design Awards 2017 ceremony is right around the corner, with the event scheduled to take place May 27 at Rivoli, starting at 6:30 pm.
