In the lead up to the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Porto organises conference on Human Rights

Porto City Hall will host a Conference on Human Rights themed "Direitos Humanos - Quo Vadis?" [Human Rights- Quo vadis?] on 10 December. The main goal of this event is to mark the International Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on 10 December 1948. The conference will be held at the Town Hall, at 9.30 pm and it is entrance free.

The University of Porto wins bronze at International Programming Competition and qualifies for world final 2019 in Porto

A team from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) won the bronze medal at the Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC) 2018 held in Paris and qualified for the world final, to be held in Porto in 2019.

The world premiere of Stitchomythia in Serralves on 16 December

Half way through musical routine and visual installation, this joint performance by visual artist and set designer Nadia Lauro and composer and harpist Zeena Parkins unfolds against an anamorphic carpet that leads the audience to engage on optical illusions and games of perception. Volmir Cordeiro, Latifa Laâbissi and Stephen Thompson are the guest performers for this world premiere in the Serralves Musuem, on 16 December at 6 pm.
