Porto Municipal Gallery opens the last exhibit of the year, "Transantiquity" on 8 December at 6 pm. This last exhibit of 2018 asks the visitor to step into a venue that celebrates the concept of composite art, how the values of antiquity still shape contemporary art.

Porto City Hall will host a Conference on Human Rights themed "Direitos Humanos - Quo Vadis?" [Human Rights- Quo vadis?] on 10 December. The main goal of this event is to mark the International Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on 10 December 1948. The conference will be held at the Town Hall, at 9.30 pm and it is entrance free.

The Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira was invited to lecture at the International Forum "Diálogo de Política Regional - Patrimonio y Ciudad" [Dialogue of Regional Politics - Heritage and City], which was held in Lima, Peru, from 28 to 30 November. The Flashback event will bring the Best of 70s, 80s and 90s music. This event is access free and will hit downtown Porto the entire month of December.

A team from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) won the bronze medal at the Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC) 2018 held in Paris and qualified for the world final, to be held in Porto in 2019.

Half way through musical routine and visual installation, this joint performance by visual artist and set designer Nadia Lauro and composer and harpist Zeena Parkins unfolds against an anamorphic carpet that leads the audience to engage on optical illusions and games of perception. Volmir Cordeiro, Latifa Laâbissi and Stephen Thompson are the guest performers for this world premiere in the Serralves Musuem, on 16 December at 6 pm.

Daniel Cunha performs at the Palácio da Bolsa and presents the "Solitude" CD with pieces by romantic composer Alfredo Napoleão (1852-1917), which had never been recorded. Lieke van der Hulst, WCA Wine Media Cadet is "an avid wine enthusiast, science lover, and communicator", who completely surrendered to the charm of the city of Porto, as stated in the Wine Communicators of Australia blog. Hulst shares that Ricardo Valente, Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Trade at Porto City Hall "enthusiastically explained why people should visit Porto", on the occasion of the Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2019, which was held in Adelaide.
