Exhibition to raise awareness on gender issues at São Bento Station

The Association to Support Social and Communitarian Integration- Espaço T - opened 30 November a photo exhibit with the fundamental goal of raising awareness on gender issues at São Bento Station. The display "40 R" comprises 40 large format photos and it is on show till 31 January 2018.

Sonoscopia Cultural Association displays Z

Cultural Association Sonoscopia features the final presentation of the two-month residency programme that artist by the name Z'EV carried out in the city of Porto, sponsored by Porto City Hall, in the context of the In Residence programme. This event is entrance free and the presentation takes place at Sonoscopia headquarters, at 7.30 pm. The performance includes a solo by Z'EV and a collective by Gustavo Costa, Henrique Fernandes and João Pais Filipe.

Royal Air Maroc increases its offer to 4 weekly flights in the route Porto-Casablanca

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will increase weekly flights adding one more flight connection to the Porto-Casablanca route, starting 17 December. The airliner now offers four weekly flights to connect Porto and Casablanca instead of the former three, as "a diversification strategy and market development measure" the company said in a statement.

São Silvestre Race on 30 December: registrations are open

The 24th Edition of S. Silvestre Race takes place on 30 December. The competition comprises two distances: 10 km and the 5 km walk with non-competitive purposes. The start of the race is scheduled for 6 pm in Avenida dos Aliados and participants will run along the most important streets of Porto.

Three-day Salon du Chocolat to savour at Misericórdia Museum

This event was borne from the will to disseminate new chocolate trends, mixing and blending it with other products such as wine, spirits and liqueurs. The public can participate in workshops and chocolate and cocoa tastings. There will be special children's activities.

The municipality of Porto continues to invest in a non-polluting stock of cars

Porto City Hall decided to award a rental contract for plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles. This measure, approved during the meeting of the Executive Body held 28 November, will allow the city to save money (annual fuel savings of approximately 600 thousand Euros) and also reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 2350 tons in the next 4 years.

Porto/Post/Doc Festival invites film lovers to Rivoli

The opening session of Porto/Post/Doc International Film Festival drew crowds of moviegoing public to Rivoli, yesterday evening. With a special focus on documentary film, this festival runs till 3 December, at Porto Municipal Theatre and at three other venues in the city of Porto. On the opening night, the cinema and Audiovisual Institute (IAC) announced support for the coming editions of the festival, which is already supported by Porto City Hall.
