Esmerine, the Canadian modern chamber music group, founded in 2001 by Bruce Cawdron (drums) and Beckie Foon (cello), will be at the Understage, Rivoli, on 23 March at 11 pm. The band is now a core quintet, with percussionist Jamie Thompson, multi-instrumentalist Brian Sanderson and bassist Jéremi Roy. The band's music incorporates genres such as drone music, post punk, and Turkish folk.
