This project is targeted at promoting a safer nightlife, by implementing a variety of strategies dealing with noise, urban cleanliness and sociability.

Registrations are now open for the last 2018 Pláka Collectives programme - To School out of School offers a short workshop on contemporary studies with focus on collectives, solo performances, informal and institutional organisations that develop their projects in the field of curatorship and thought on culture and present time. Registrations are limited to 20 participants and cost 50 euros per participant. The registration period closes on 15 November.

The collective exhibit "Adorno Político" ["Political Adornment", free translation], curated by Tales Frey, inaugurates at Maus Hábitos, in Porto, on 15 November. The exhibit displays a set of artwork by Brazilian artists that counterweights the way one looks at and makes sense of Brazil. Twenty years on, Porto celebrates Saramago's Literature Nobel at Almeida Garrett Municipal Library, located at the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal. The event is entrance free till room capacity. It is scheduled to start at 9 pm.

Porto City Hall and the Embassy of The United States of America are organising an innovative talent support programme. As such, the band Matuto will be in town to deliver a workshop on arts promotion. The band will perform after the workshop.

The 5th edition of The Forum of The Future, which runs from 4 to 10 November, features the Artists Talks sessions, where artists of different nationalities present and debate their artwork. Emphasis will be placed in line with the theme of the Forum of the Future, debating the link between antiquity, ancient past, and contemporary culture, condensed in two words - Ágora Club.

Any street market is an optimal choice to dive in the culture of a city. The Pink Market is no exception and it features fantastic stalls dedicated to art, to timeless gifts and it is imbued with a cosy and friendly atmosphere, next to the Praia Internacional do Porto, outside the Edifício Transparente, on 3 and 4 November. The market is access free, and runs form 11 am to 6 pm.
