Stock up wine and gourmet delights at the "Dão Invicto" ["Invictus Dão", free translation] event at the Customs Building, on 28 and 29 June, running from 3pm till 9pm. Entrance is free.

This is the third edition of this wine show from the Dão region, framed by mountains as Caramulo or Gralheira/Montemuro, and rivers as Dão and Paiva.

The region offers a rich ancient heritage, with vineyards were essentially developed by the clergy in the Middle Ages. In 1908, the wine production area was delimited, becoming the second demarcated region in Portugal.

The event is organised by the Regional Wine Commission of Dão (CVR) and gathers around 30 wine producers to draw notice to the "quality and unique features of the Dão wine", affirms CVR of Dão President, Arlindo Cunha.

In addition to wine tastings, visitors will be able to take part in workshops with renowned oenologists as well as wine pairings.

Although the event is entrance free, the tasting glass costs three euros.
