Porto is a city that attracts investors and fosters job creation

The multinational company of renewable energies, Voltalia opened offices in Porto, where it will install its Solar Global Hub, and created 120 jobs in the city.

An area of 1.300 square meters located at Marechal Gomes da Costa Avenue that will be key to "Portugal becoming the operational basis of Voltalia's photovoltaic energy", according to the company's CEO, Sébastien Clerc.

Founded in 2005, Voltalia is a power producer and service provider in renewable electricity production from solar, wind, hydro and biomass energies.

The Group is active in 20 countries and is able to offer services to its clients worldwide. It emplyes circa 500 people, 153 of which work in Portugal. Now, with the inauguration of the centre for Solar energy in Porto, the company has created another 120 jobs.

As of December 31, 2018, Voltalia has developed and sold more than 1.8 GW and built more than 1.3 GW. It operates more than 1 GW and owns more than 0.5 GW of consolidated installed capacity.
